Kaylee Cottam
Ballet, Lyrical and Contemporary Instructor
Kaylee Cottam began her dance journey at Forest Grove Dance Arts at age nine, starting with Lyrical Jazz in 2013 and adding Ballet in 2015. Now in her 12th year of dance and fifth year of teaching, she has trained extensively in Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, and Ballet, and danced competitively from 2018 to 2020. Kaylee began assistant teaching in 2017 and progressed to a Teacher in Training in 2020, learning alongside experienced instructors and growing her passion for education.
She has performed many lead roles, including the Sugarplum Fairy in The Nutcracker and Kitri in Don Quixote, and received additional training under Ashlie Parov, Assistant Professor of Ballet at Brigham Young University.
In addition to her dance credentials, Kaylee is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, bringing a strong foundation in strength, mobility, and injury prevention to her students. Her cross-disciplinary knowledge supports dancers in building technique with both artistry and physical resilience.
Dance remains one of the most meaningful and inspiring parts of Kaylee’s life, and she is passionate about guiding young dancers on their own creative and empowering journeys.
